Today we speak with Gabriel Miller, the general manager and partner at AMMIRATI, an advertising agency that specializes in brand identity, design and interactive digital strategies.
What does “Made in NYTM” mean to you and your company?
As an atypical marketing agency with a digital soul that was born in a downtown New York apartment over 11 years ago, it’s gratifying to see that other technology visionaries are now also calling NYC their home. This enables AMMIRATI to play in the same sandbox and share our resources, both online and off, to make the entire city smarter.
What can be done to maximize the “Made in NYTM” campaign?
We need to continue to publicize the innovative technologies and applications that have been made in NY recently. The government-sponsored contests and financial incentives foster great competition. Competition turns theoretical ideas that are good into meaningful “next-in-class” tools that create true value for the greatest city in the world.
What else can be done to promote early stage entrepreneurship in NYC?
- More, free coffee.
- More, free tech events.
- More, free open source initiatives.
Where does your company fit in the ecosystem?
AMMIRATI has always been a marketing company that solves problems for our clients – creatively. Today, we find ourselves in the unique position where not only are we ideating, creating and building these solutions, but we are able to use multiple media channels, new and old, to broadcast and share the message with audiences around the world from our downtown NY office (we upgraded awhile ago from that studio apartment).
