By creating and fostering a collaborative community that has a strong digital footprint.  People all over the world need to see what NYC has to offer in terms of the diversity of startups and uniqueness of ideas.  Startup-oriented spaces like WeWork and General Assembly are awesome platforms for communication and education.  Digital publications like AlleyWatch are a great way to give both NYC insiders and outsiders interesting, up-to-date news on all the cool companies and exciting events.

Where does your company fit in the ecosystem?

NYC is one of the most stylish cities in the world, not just because so much of the fashion industry is here, but also because the city has such diverse groups of people with strong identities.  People in New York put thought into how they dress because they know that style is more than clothing, it is a means of self-expression and differentiation in a city full of unique individuals.  New Yorkers, regardless of their profession, take pride in looking their best.  By making luxury, quality custom clothing accessible to not just New Yorkers, but men all over the world, Black Lapel represents what New York stands for – dressing, living and being your very best, every day.
