It was another busy week in Silicon Alley and beyond.
Much of the past week was spent watching the latest activities in Boston stemming from the senseless act of terrorism on Monday afternoon. While nothing positive ever arises from a grotesque act of this nature, it was nice to see the nation unite to support Boston. In Boston and around the country this week, humanity prevailed.
Twitter forayed into the world of music discovery with a new offering. Venture investment in NYC increased 8% in the first quarter of 2013 compared to the same period from a year ago with a total of 98 closed funding rounds for an aggregate value of $576 million according to Crain’s.
