Meet the DreamIt Ventures 2013 NYC Class

Dreamit Ventures just announced its summer 2013 NYC Class, which marks its third class since expanding to New York from Philadelphia and Austin.  Similar to other accelerator programs, the startups will receive collaborative office space, mentorship, seed funding up to $25,000, and professional services in exchange for a small percentage of equity.  Here are the companies and a twitter inspired description of each:

iPad application that allows you to make simple games that can be played across a variety of platforms

Online education platform that offers courses across a variety of topics with a focus on using video.

A community that spreads perks offered by businesses in order to raise money for charity.

Creating mobile commerce experiences in real time based on location. Formerly ZenPlaya

Crowdfunding platform that can be embedded into sites

Callida Energy
Platform to achieve efficiencies in building management through tracking and predictive analytics.

Aggregation platform for classes by interest

Crowdfunding for non profits through mobile

Online referral platform for attorneys to efficiently manage referral fees along with some other added services.

A collaboration network for research and development in laboratory settings.
