Tell us about the decision to apply for NYC SeedStart.

We are essentially the Contently for video. Owen Davis is an investor and board member at Contently. We felt there was a lot we could learn from him. Separately, the program provides great access to potential customers.

Tell us about your product/service.

Vidaao makes it easy for businesses and enterprises to find cost-effective video production companies through a streamlined RFP process and crowd sourcing. We also provide a project management layer to increase efficiency. We put together a video that outlines the vision.

What market are you attacking and how big is it?

It is estimated that businesses spend over $3B on video production services.

What is the business model?

We take an Agent’s Fee from the video production team for connecting them with the project and providing the project management tools.

What are you hoping to get out of the program and where do you see your company fitting in the New York landscape?

We hope to work with mentors to master our customers’ problems and iterate the product to achieve generating more feedback like this: “Vidaao is awesome sauce and I need to put it on everything.” As for the landscape, we are a powerful marketing tool for both brands and agencies. There are lots of potential applications of the platform.
