Instagram, led by Emily White, is talking to brand advertisers to understand their goals to make the company worth the lofty $1 billion valuation set by Facebook’s acquisition.  Is this a move for the better? Instagram is expected to turn on the monetization faucet as early as next year by offering advertising but is wrestling with the challenge of preserving the aesthetics of the platform.  Facebook has also stepped onto Twitter’s turf by introducing some new feature sets for media partners to take advantage of real time feeds.
