Alexander Gillett is the founder and CEO of HowGood – and a serial entrepreneur from back to the days when he started a classic childhood lemonade stand. His first startup was Virage, where he has had the great experience of training under people like Bradley Horowitz. He went on to start a painting company, which he sold to a competitor, and was eventually hired to run half their company. During the earliest startup phase of HowGood, Gillett had a technical support company, a rooftop farm, and a couple other gigs. They were profitable enough to get his real passion – HowGood – off the ground.
HowGood is a site (and an app) that tells you HowGood the groceries that you’re buying really are for you. HowGood rates grocery products for the greater good, covering everything related to sustainability and social responsibility, from carbon emissions to labor relations.
