Tell us about the decision to apply for ER Accelerator.
Piiku was introduced to Charlie Kemper by Bill Carson, Managing Director of Hudson Ventures. After reviewing ERA’s site and researching its program and managing directors, we concluded that ERA would be a very good partner to help Piiku launch. We were honored to be selected. Our business model requires that we have a strong presence in New York City and the ERA Summer Program created the opportunity for us to pull our team together, which is currently spread across 5 states and 2 countries.

Piiku provides a micropayment solution for digital content that doesn’t require any out-of-pocket expense from consumers. We help the publisher market monetize the 95 million non-paying visits per month to their sites by providing consumers a decoupled advertising experience that is relevant, rewarding and provides access to digital content.
What market are you attacking and how big is it?
95 million non-paying views of content per month equates to approximately $95 million per month in lost revenues. We also plan to extend into the Wi-Fi access market with our micropayment solution.
What is your take on the current scene in New York today?
The scene in New York is very vibrant; the epicenter of advertising media.
Where does your company fit in the ecosystem?
Piiku is a micropayment solution to digital content access. We also provide a premium advertising channel for brands that provide near perfect targeting and higher ROI for other forms of video advertising. Piiku provides advertisers verified views of ads and a rich profile of data associated with each verified view.
