Amy Robinson is a crowd-sourcer. She is the Creative Director of EyeWire, a game to map the brain that came out of the Sebastian Seung‘s Computational Neuroscience Lab at MIT. +EyeWire is a community of 60,000 gamers from 130 countries who together are helping us decipher the mysteries of information processing in the brain.
Robinson founded and curates the TEDx Global Music Project, a collection of the best live music from TEDx events around the world. She is a partner in HealthSterling, where she developed crowd-sourced population health programs that are now being deployed in Brasil. She previously organized TEDxHuntsville and is currently organizing TEDxMIT. Robinson also works with MIT Media Lab building crowd-sourced tools for computer vision.
Adda Birnir is CEO and co-founder of Skillcrush, a website that allowed you to develop your technical skills and coding through an interactive learning experience. Birnir is a front-end developer and ruby newbie, wannabe student, and lover of Hall & Oates videos on YouTube. We can’t fault her for the last one, but we really don’t understand it. She is obsessed with creating great products and has fine-tuned this obsession by creating interactive news applications for WNYC, The New York Times, MTV, and Huffington Post. In a previous life, she co-founded Balance Media, a media-focused client services company.
