Public.com, the commission-free stock trading platform, has raised an additional $8.6M in venture funding according to a recent SEC filing. The filing indicates that the total offering is for $15M and that there were seven investors in this close. Confirmed investors in previous rounds include Accel, Greycroft, and Advancit Capital. Founded by Jannick Malling, Matt Kennedy, Peter Quinn, and Sean Hendelman in 2015, Public.com has now raised a total of $17.1M in reported equity funding. The company was previously known as Matador.
