Today, I take a look at the state of venture capital and angel funding during the all of November, both in New York and nationally. Analyzing some publicly available data from our friends at CrunchBase, we break down the national aggregate statistics for all funding deals by stage of funding (Angel/Seed, Series A, Series B, and Series C+, as well as venture unspecified rounds less than $10M).

Quick Takeaways:

A rather routine month in New York with over $420M reported in funding, down slightly from October levels, while nationally funding approached $3.4B, up 10% from October.  New York’s funding was largely influenced by BuzzFeed’s late stage round totaling $200M.  Of note is the decrease in Series B funding both nationally and in NYC, down 55% and 84% respectively in terms of aggregate dollar amount.
