Indicative, the third startup from founding team Jeremy Levy and Andrew Weinrich, just closed their $2 million seed round from investors Acadia Woods, Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, Rose Tech Ventures, and a host of angels, including Jonah Goodhart, Brett Gough, Jamie Knall, Eduardo Vivas, David Reich, Matthew Grodin, Nils Johnson and John Rigos.

 

Indicative is an intelligent analytics platform for web and mobile businesses, and offers companies the easiest and most intuitive platform to help them to understand and visualize their data.

The Pivot conference was held in NYC at NASDAQ in Times Square. Attendees were on hand Altimeter’s Brian Solis rang the closing bell.

The market closed slightly up, of course.

PaintZen, an e-commerce platform that enables people to book, schedule, and pay for home and office painters, has raised a $1.8 million seed round from investors including Philip Nadel, Barbara Corcoran Venture Partners, Sterling Equities, Quotidian Ventures, First Ascent Associates, Rugged Ventures, Thomas Korte and Lerer Hippeau Ventures, among others.

Our friends at RRE just opened the RRE Flatiron, the new second home of RRE Ventures. The downtown space, located at 54 West 21st Street, was designed for co-working, events and community.

And they’re happy to host your next event there (email flatiron@rre.com to schedule a tour).

They’re also planning to host a mix of industry-specific roundtables and demo nights, as well as community facing meetups, classes, panels and pop-up shops, so stay tuned.

VerbalizeIt, a language translation startup that came out of Techstars and pivoted to the enterprise market, has raised $830,000 in seed funding from FG Angels, the angel syndicate of Foundry Group; Galvanize Ventures; and individuals, including Daniel Saul and Walter Winshall.

ERA hospitality night

Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator hosted a meet and greet for potential applicants for their next class. Alumni from past ERA classes addressed a packed house at Connelly’s to talk about their personal experiences with the program. Deadline for applications is November 13th.

Jason Klein was the Angel of the Hour at this month’s StartupOneStop investor breakfast, hosted by Cowork.rs, where he discussed the investing landscape, what angels focus on most, and met with attendees one-on-one to proffer his advice.

That’s why breakfast is the most important meal of the day, after all!
