First, some fun facts:
There was a 60% increase in applications for NYC program this year, and the acceptance rate was 0.8%.
The companies that were selected are innovating across wide range of spaces, from virtual reality to 3D electronics prototyping; from language translating with a single line of code to newsfeeds you can set up in no time at all, to the fastest Internet in NYC; from artisanal men’s goods to a food network for colleges to an online course to become a data scientist.
Techstars always stay ahead of the curve.
It’s Alex Iskold’s second time as Managing Director, and the first time that Techstars alumni participated in interviewing the candidates who would become this batch of Techstars.
The companies hail from near and far: from Paris and Amsterdam to Burlington, VT, Brisbane, AU, the Bay Area and Brooklyn.
And every single one of them is here to go the distance.
