B12, the A.I powered website builder, has raised a Series A round of $12.4M led by General Catalyst Partners with help from Jim Breyer, Neil Tolaney, Alex Shevchenko, Alejandro Resnik, Marc Piette, Max Lytvyn, Brad Hoover, Gautam Gupta, Jordan Fliegel, Peter Fishman, Connie Chen, Kevin Chou, Waseem Daher, Greg Brockman, Jeff Arnold, Mike Anello, Paul Sagan, Gary Swart, Suffolk Equity Partners, SV Angel, Founder Collective and Breyer Capital.

 


, the company introducing the world of art to virtual reality, has raised a Convertible Note of $2.53M. The company has raised a total of $5.32M for their second round.

 


, the marketplace for short term doctor shifts, has raised a $4M Series A round. The round was led by First Round with participation from .406 Ventures and RRE Ventures. This is the first round of funding for founders Alexi Nazem and Zander Pease.

 


, the on-demand truck driver app, has raised $22M in Series B funding led by New Enterprise Associates with participation from Expansion Venture Capital, Corigin Ventures, Canvas Ventures and Lerer Hippeau Ventures. Founder Drew McElroy has now raised a total of $36.5M.

 


, the company that advises on financial decisions around energy and oil, has raised a Venture round of funding for the company’s first round. Harvey Golub led the investment, with help from GF Investments.

 


Rockets of Awesome, the more convenient way to shop for your child’s clothing, has raised a Seed round of $7M from LAUNCH, Forerunner Ventures and General Catalyst Partners. Founder Rachel Blumenthal has now raised her first round for the company.

Matific, the company utilizing alternate methods for teach K-6th grade math, has raised $45M from Leon Kamenev. The company has now raised $57M over the 2 rounds.

The company predicting geopolitical trends, Predata, has raised a Venture round of $3.25M led by Edison Partners with participation from Conversion Capital and Chicago Ventures. This is founder James Shinn’s first round of funding.

Powerlinx, the company connecting your companies that will promote growth, has raised a Series A round of $7M led by Steve Alesio with help from ALTARES D&B. The company has raised $9.4M over its 2 rounds.

Phosphorus, the company revolutionizing infertility testing, has raised $10M in a Series A round from FirstMark Capital. For the founders, Alexander Bisignano and Santiago Munne, this the company’s first round funded.

Roomi, the leading marketplace for shared housing, has raised $4M in Seed funding led by DCM Ventures. This marks the third round for founder Ajay Yadav, and a total of $5.96M raised.

Astro, the company creating connected devices, has raised $1.1M in a Venture round of funding. The founders, Kirill Karev and Shaun Springer, have now raised $3.74M over their 6 rounds.

ff Venture Capital and The NYU Future Labs announced the launch of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Accelerator to be housed at NYU.  The program is a 4 month program attracting pre-seed companies.  This marks the first accelerator that is a collaboration between an university and venture fund.
