Today, I take a look at the state of venture capital and angel funding during the month of June in New York. Analyzing some publicly available data from our friends at CrunchBase, we break down the aggregate statistics for all funding deals by stage of funding (Seed, Series A, Series B, and Series C+) including mention of notable rounds.

One Minute Takeaway:

June funding for NYC startups increased sharply from May levels with NYC startup funding up ~34% from May and up ~12% from June 2017 levels. Late-stage funding rebounded, after weakness with strong rounds for Away, Cedar, Kustomer, and GETT with particular strength at the Series B levels, where NYC accounted for over 18% of national Series B funding.
