In another active week for New York City’s tech ecosystem, several companies across various sectors secured significant funding. Here’s a comprehensive look at the latest funding rounds, totaling over $173M in fresh capital.

Major Funding Rounds

Precision Neuroscience Secures $102M Series C

Precision Neuroscience, founded in 2021 by Benjamin Rapoport, Demetrios Papageorgiou, Mark Hettick, and Michael Mager, has raised $102M in Series C funding. The brain-computer interface company attracted investments from B Capital, Steadview Capital, Duquesne Family Office, and General Equity Holdings. This latest round brings their total funding to $155M.

Basis Raises $34M Series A

The agentic AI platform Basis, designed specifically for accountants, has secured $34M in Series A funding. The round was led by Khosla Ventures, with participation from Nat Friedman and Daniel Gross. Founded in 2023 by Mitchell Troyanovsky and Matthew Harpe, the company has now raised a total of $37.6M.

Plume Closes $20M Series A

Plume, a public blockchain platform specializing in real world asset (RWA) tokenization, has raised $20M in Series A funding. The round saw participation from notable investors including Brevan Howard Digital, Haun Ventures, Galaxy Ventures, Lightspeed Faction, and several others. Founded by Chris Yin in 2023, Plume’s total funding now stands at $30M.

  • Mura Technologies: $5.9M from twenty-three investors. Founded in 2023 by Claire Moloney and Ryan G. Smith, the company is currently in pre-launch phase.
  • TripSuite: $5M Seed round led by F-Prime Capital. The travel agency technology infrastructure platform, founded in 2022 by Chris Graves and Jacey Jones, has now raised $7M in total.
  • Phy Health: $3.5M raised from ten investors, as part of a larger $5.1M offering. The musculoskeletal care platform, founded by Jeff Burde in 2019, utilizes computer vision and machine learning.

Early-Stage Investments

  • Herd Labs: $1.65M from three investors. Founded by Thomas Bramanti and Andrew Hong in 2024, the startup remains in stealth mode.
  • Tuned: $1M raised from three investors, part of a $2.5M offering. The hearing benefits platform, founded in 2020 by Danny Aronson, Kate McGinley, and Ofer Raz, has now raised $10.2M in total.
