, the company offering rental and homeowner insurance, has raised $33M in Series B funding from investors Aleph, Sequoia Capital, XL Innovate, Tusk Ventures, Thrive Capital, GV and General Catalyst Partners. Founders Daniel Schreiber and Shai Wininger have raised $60M over 4 rounds of funding.


This week we took a look at venture funding in NYC and the US during the month of November – The November 2016 NYC Venture Capital and Angel Funding Report

MoneyLion, the fintech company revolutionizing lending, has raised $22.5M in a round of Series A funding led by Edison Partners with participation from Montage Ventures, Broadhaven Capital Partners, Clocktower Technology Ventures, Citizen.VC and FinTech Collective. The company has raised $24M over their 4 rounds.

Elysium Health, a company creating revolutionary health products, has raised $20M in Series B funding led by General Catalyst Partners with participation from Robert Nelson. This is the company’s second round of funding.

Convergent Energy, the efficient energy storage company, has received an undisclosed amount from Statoil. The 5-year-old company has raised its first round of funding.

Civic Hall, the community space for civic innovators, has received $2M in a Venture round of funding from Omidyar Network for founder Andrew Rasiej’s first round of funding.

NFP, the insurance broker company, has raised an undisclosed Venture round of funding from HPS Investment Partners. The company has acquired 6 companies and raised their first round of funding.

Alluvium, the company strategically helping factories, has raised $2.5M in Seed funding from Mike Olson, Bloomberg Beta, Lux Capital and IA Ventures. This is founder Drew Conway’s first round of funding.

Vestorly, the content marketing platform in financial services, has raised $8.5M in a Round of Venture funding led by Richmond Global Ventures with participation from Sigma Prime Ventures. Founders Justin Wisz and Ralph Pahlmeyer have raised a total of $14.6M to date.

KeyMe, the startup that lets you store a digital copy of your key in the cloud, has raised another $25M in Series D funding. Greg Marsh’s company raised a series C round in September and has raised a total of $70.4M.

Exclaimer, the award-winning email signature, has raised $29.3M in a Venture round of funding from LivingBridge for the company’s first round of funding.
