Pocket Worlds, the technology company behind the Highrise platform, has acquired Infinite Canvas, an AI-driven UGC development team. The acquisition will strengthen Pocket Worlds’ gaming capabilities and expand its offerings for young adult users. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. “I’m incredibly proud of what our team has built at Infinite Canvas—a library of over 100 games tailored to create engaging experiences across platforms,” stated Sebastian Park, Cofounder of Infinite Canvas. “When we began building in Highrise, it became clear that this platform embodies the same innovation and tools that empower creativity and connection. Joining Highrise is a natural next step that enables our team to deliver even more meaningful and personalized experiences to a growing community and help Highrise reach diverse audiences at scale.”

Founded by Park and Tal Shachar, Infinite Canvas had raised a total of $8.8M in equity funding from investors that include BITKRAFT Ventures, Emerson Collective, Day One Ventures, Warner Music Group, J-Ventures, Crossbeam Venture Partners, LightShed Ventures, and HBSE Ventures. The company developed proprietary AI technology to create accessible gaming experiences, reaching over 19M monthly active users at its peak. As part of the acquisition, Infinite Canvas’ team will focus on game, world, and tool innovation within Highrise, Pocket Worlds’ flagship platform.

Highrise, which has amassed 40 million users worldwide, has surpassed $250 million in revenue across its marketplaces. The platform provides creative tools and design submission programs, including Highrise Studio, a suite of development tools for creating and publishing games and experiences via Unity. “No one understands this generation of gamers and user-generated content better than Infinite Canvas,” remarked Anton Bernstein, CEO of Pocket Worlds. “Highrise is a thriving world of players who are from all walks of life and entering their twenties, and this acquisition is part of our pledge to continue to serve this extremely distinct community and their interests worldwide.”
