We keep you abreast of the things that you may have missed in NYC Tech News for the week ending 4/19 including the NYC startup fundings, NYC startup exits, and NYC startup events featuring news for Chapter, Crux, Arketa, and much, much more.

Chapter – $75M Series D

HEALTHTECH

Chapter, a Medicare navigation platform, has raised $75M in Series D funding led by Stripes. Founded by Cobi Blumenfeld-Gantz, Corey Metzman, and Vivek Ramaswamy in 2020, Chapter has now raised a total of $184M in reported equity funding.

Crux – $50M Series B

CLEANTECH

Crux, a capital markets platform for the clean economy, has raised $50M in Series B funding led by Lowercarbon Capital. Founded by Alfred Johnson and Allen Kramer in 2023, Crux has now raised a total of $77M in reported equity funding.

Arketa – $18.2M

WELLNESS

Arketa, a booking and management platform for wellness businesses, has raised $18.2M in funding according to a recent SEC filing. The filing indicates that the round comes from eight investors. Founded by Joshua Archer and Rachel Lea Fishman in 2020, Arketa has now raised a total of $25.9M in reported equity funding.

Meadow – $14M Series A

FINTECH

Meadow, a student loan payment and engagement platform, has raised $14M in Series A funding led by Matrix Partners. Founded by Alfredo Brillembourg, Amy Jenkins, Cameron McLain, Gareth Dismore, Just Kraprayoon, Pietro Rea, and Tommy Stadlen in 2021, Meadow has now raised a total of $17.5M in reported equity funding.

Blue Onion Labs – $10M Series A

E-COMMERCE

Blue Onion Labs, a subledger platform for e-commerce brands and retailers, has raised $10M in Series A funding led by Viola FinTech. Founded in 2020, Blue Onion Labs has now raised a total of $10.1M in reported equity funding.

EliotNest – $9M

AI

EliotNest, a platform that uses AI and data to uncover fraud against the government, has raised $9M in funding according to a recent SEC filing. The filing indicates that the total offering is for $9.5M and there were two investors in this close. EliotNest was founded by Fahim Ferdous, Auren Hoffman, and Steve Ferketic in 2025.

1Fort – $7.5M

INSURTECH

1Fort, an AI platform for business insurance, has raised $7.5M in Venture funding led by Bonfire Ventures. Founded by Anthony Marshi and Toby Hung in 2022, 1Fort has now raised a total of $10M in reported equity funding.

Plastic Labs – $5.35M Pre-Seed

AI

Plastic Labs, a personal identity platform for AI, has raised $5.35M in Pre-Seed funding led by Betaworks, White Star Capital, and Variant. Founded by Vineeth Voruganti, Vince Trost, and Courtland Leer in 2023, Plastic Labs has now raised a total of $6M in reported equity funding.

Glider – $4M

CRYPTO

Glider, a platform for building automated onchain investment portfolios, has raised $4M in Venture funding led by a16z crypto. Founded by Brian Huang and John Johnson in 2024.

The General Intelligence Company of New York – $2M Pre-Seed

AI

The General Intelligence Company of New York, an AI full stack orchestration platform that seeks to make companies near autonomous using various AI agents, has raised $2M in Pre-Seed funding from investors that include Compound and Acrew Capital. The General Intelligence Company of New York was founded by Abhishyant Khar and Andrew Pignanelli.
