Classcraft, the education role playing game used by schools, has raised $2.8M in a Venture round of funding led by Whitecap Venture Partner with participation from Virgin Group, MaRS Catalyst Fund and Brightspark Ventures for the company’s first round of funding.

 


Via, the popular ridesharing app, has raised $250M in a strategic round of funding from European investor Daimler. The company has raised $387M to date as they move to expand to the European market.

 


Gimlet Media, the podcast producers, has raised $5M in Series B funding from the ad agency WPP after raising $15M just one month before. Founders Matthew Lieber and Alex Blumberg have raised $27.5M in 4 rounds of funding.

 


Redd Intelligence, the material intelligence in distressed areas, has raised $2M in Angel funding from undisclosed investors for the company’s second round of funding.

 


Reg Tek Solutions, the report-it suite of software controls for global trade, has raised $5M in a round of Series A funding from Illuminate Financial and Deutsche Börse. This is the company’s first round of funding.

 


Talkspace, the messaging based therapy app, has raised $31M in Series C funding led by Qumra Capital joined in by FirstTime, Compound, SoftBank, Spark Capital and Norwest Venture Partners – NVP. Founders Roni and Oren Frank have raised $59M to date for their company.

 


Unbound, the female erotic products subscription box, has raised a Seed round of funding for an undisclosed amount. Investors in the round include John F. Nemelka, Christine Churchill, Adam Anderson, Manzanita Capital, Stuart Gardner, Branden Smythe, Rebecca Ranich, John Fletcher, Struck Capital, Matt Mireles, JJ List, Matt Humphrey, 3311 Ventures, Switch, SoGal Ventures, Polly Rodriguez, Your BrainChild, Struck Capital, FF Angel LLC, Arena Alpha, Arena Ventures Fund, Berggruen Holdings, and Shan-Lyn Ma.
