Thimble, the on-demand insurance platform for independent short-term and gig workers, has raised $22M in Series A funding from investors that include Slow Ventures, AXA Venture Partners, OpenOcean, and IAC. Founded by Eugene Hertz and Jay Bregman in 2016, Thimble has now raised a total of $28.9M in reported equity funding. The company just rebranded and was previously known as Verifly. DiligenceVault, the digital diligence platform for asset managers and allocators, has raised $6M in funding according to a recent SEC filing. The filing indicates that the total offering is for $7.1M and that thirteen investors participated in this close. DiligenceVault was founded by Monel Amin in 2014.
